Project overview
Crofty Construction carried out the renovation and extension of a semi-detached bungalow at 3 Polgoon Close in Penzance, Cornwall, between 2023 and 2024.
The brief: transform the existing bungalow into a larger contemporary home, following the proposed elevations while coordinating the structural and finishing work across the property.
Our work: the project included structural alterations, new blockwork and steelwork to form the extended living space, followed by floor preparation and the installation of new windows and rooflights.
Internally, the open-plan spaces were brought through to the plastered stage, while the roof-level exterior was finished with dark horizontal cladding around the new window openings.
Project outcome: the works reshaped the original semi-detached bungalow into an extended modern home, with the structural shell, internal spaces and external envelope brought together as one coordinated renovation.
